"‘Dreams on Foothill’ is a collection of compositions made over the last year. I envisioned the project as location-music involving meditation and field recording in a certain environment. I would find a quiet place to sit or walk, listening and feeling the space. Afterwards I compose above the recording. Simple melodies move around the space. Awareness, projection, prayer, reflection. I am exploring how melody can represent consciousness and emotion in their materiality, affected in movement and weight by the space around them. Melody as the harmony of mind that tries to gather chaotic data."
